Description

There are five different activities in this workbook. A list of the high-frequency words used is on the last page. The activities have been designed to help develop logic and to make children more aware of the written form of the most commonly used word, numbers to ten and colours.

Read-a-word
Pupils read the words from left-to-right or top-to-bottom and write the words in the space provided.

Word Sums
The objective of this exercise is to make pupils aware of the similarity between words.

Sound Words
The initial sound of each picture spells out a word.

Criss-Cross
Take care when completing the crossword. There may be more than one word that could fit into the space.

Search-a-word
The words read from left to right or from top to bottom. We suggest the pupils use pencil crayons to colour in the words.
