Returns Policy

Pricing:

  • Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are all inclusive of a 15% VAT rate.
  • Prices are subject to change at any given time without prior notice.

Delivery/Shipping:

  • Subject to stock availability all orders are processed/shipped 5-15 working days from date of order confirmation and payment.
  • Orders are not shipped/delivered on weekends, holidays or during December break.
  • During Peak Season delivery lead time may be extended or delayed, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • Kindly allow for additional days in transit for delivery. Delivery is done by a courier company, delivery delays can occur  due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Shipment Confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive an email once your order has shipped. On the email there will be a tracking number and invoice for your records, as well as a link for you to track your parcel. You are also welcome to contact us, to enquire on the status of your order.

Damages

Play and Schoolroom is not liable for any damaged or lost items during the shipping process. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipping carrier to file a claim. Please save all important packaging materials and damaged goods before filling a claim.

Returns/Cancellation Policy

Any item purchased from our online store is subject to availability from our publishers and suppliers. In the case of unavailability, Play and Schoolroom will place the item on backorder until the item has arrived in store, at such a time the customer will be notified via email. In the event the customer wants to cancel the item(s) on backorder after 15 working days, Play and Schoolroom will refund the customer for the respective item(s).

Should you wish to cancel an order for any reasons other than delayed availability, kindly submit a request for cancellation to info@play-schoolroom.co.za.

Cancellation of orders made by the customer will be considered at the discretion of Play and Schoolroom. Should the cancellation request for an order be approved, Play and Schoolroom will charge a 10% administration fee on the total value of the respective items at a cost to the customer.

Exchanging of an item/product for another item is permissible at the discretion of Play and Schoolroom.

The refunding of incorrectly supplied or damaged item(s) will be considered at the discretion of Play and Schoolroom only if the client notifies Play and Schoolroom within 10 working days of receiving the order and if the item(s) is/are returned in pristine condition.

Regrettably special orders for books and other items that are not regularly carried or kept in stock in our store as well as specific confirmed items by the customer, are not subject to refund should the order be cancelled by the customer for any given reason.

Returns of delivered items that were placed incorrectly by customers:

If a customer mistakenly places an incorrect order, the customer is required to return the item in a pristine condition back to the store for an exchange or refund . In the event that the customer prefers Play and Schoolroom to collect the incorrect item, courier fees are applicable and payable by the customer before collection is made.

The customer is responsible for the item until it is returned to our store. Therefore, it is imperative that the item is correctly packed in a strong box and properly secured.

Refunds/exchange will only be done once the item arrives in store.

A 10% stocking fee is applicable for any incorrect orders placed by the customer.
