Learn new words which are synonymous to each other with the help of picture clue.
Use these words in simple sentences and learn that these can be interchanged in a sentence.
THE MATCH-UPS Each three piece set has an illustration on the large (top) piece and two corresponding word pieces below. The child has to listen/read carefully and find out the correct meaning for the words and match the set.
THE PLAY
Give any one set to the child. Help him/her understand the words with same meaning with the help of picture clue.
Help him/her read both the words printed on the cards.
Ask him/her to match the word cards of each set with the picture card.
Synonyms are words with same or nearly the same meaning like buy/purchase, shut/close etc. but these should be relative to the context. Clear and simple illustrations of the sets help children learn to correctly use and spell these words.
